Why the instrument made with TNT4882 can not work with other equipment ?

We've made a instrument with TNT4882,my computer can communicate it individually, but when there're several other equipment on the GPIB bus ,they can not work anymore except the one we made. Now we use NI488.2->Explore GPIB to test them,so it should not be the problem of the software. There may be something wrong with the way of the configurations of TNT4882.

Thanks for your advice.

Are you assigning a unique GPIB address to each device and controller? If you do a scan for instruments through Max, do you see all of the instruments? Are you using an NI GPIB controller for this system? If so, could you take some NI Spy captures of the different cases?

Yes,I have assigned a unique address for each device and controller. If I do a scan, I can see all the instruments.I have used a NI GPIB controller which is a PCI-GPIB board for this system. The PCI-GPIB interface Number is 0. I have assigned a primary address but not a secondary address for each device. When I send a command to the devices on the bus, they can't receive it at all.For example, I send a *IDN?, they should have replied something , but not a reply.Only the device we made can reply.

Can you take some NI Spy captures of the different cases? NI Spy should have been installed when you installed the NI-488 driver on the system with the PCI-GPIB.
