aquisition de RS232

Hi, I'm working on a project to aquérir of data of a photovoltaic cell (voltage, temperature ....) ( liason serial RS232 )  the problem is that the transmitter sends us a frame which is not know the Nature ( Unicode / Ascii / Ascii2 ... ) I want also to know if labview contains a command to convert them ... and thanks in advance

There are numerous ways to convert data in LabVIEW. If you don't have the manual or you don't understand what the manual says about the days representation, I don't see how anyone can help with so little information provided. Attach the manual or at least the data that you are actually receiving with an explanation of what you think the data should be. You haven't provided the make and model of the instrument either and that is essential information.

the goal is to determine (RS232 protocol) the size of a frame.
we need to know the indicatour of an unknown tram  that we can test to stop the acquisition

  data is supplied by using a data aquisition of Management PLC (Phaesun)

What does the manual say? Your registers should be clearly defined. Are you using modbus?

Silly response. RS-232 is the physical interface. It says nothing at all about the protocol used. You probably needed to do some basic research on PLCs.

And you need to be specific as to the hardware. Phaesun is a distributor and you should understand what that means.
