error in serial communication

Hi,

    I was trying to run my total VI then it strucked at configure VI and showing arrow mark in it and more even i am not able to stop the program on that occasion. Can any one tell me what is the reason for this error.

waiting 500 seconds is almost 7 minutes and you probably did not wait that long.

why such a long timeout simply for initializing a serial port?
