I am trying to get windows 7 64-bit to recognize the driver for gpib-usb-hs.
I installed software NI4882_1550f0.exe obtained today from the NI website but windows will not recognize the device driver as being installed. The device shows a green light under active but I have not plugged into into any measurement equipment.
Here is a picture of of computer with device manager, the windows software installer and ni-max and product registration open
I am at loss what could be going on.
Thanks for any help,
Amish

AXR,
Could you describe what software you have installed? For this you should just need the 488.2 driver to see your device, but VISA is a good driver to have for convenience. I'll link you to our VISA download:
NI VISA:
http://www.ni.com/download/ni-visa-15.5/5846/en/
This error is most commonly seen when a driver is installed but the computer is not restarted, so please make sure you have restarted your computer between the time you installed the 488.2 driver and when you plugged in your hardware. If you have restarted and are still seeing this error, it may be best to uninstall and reinstall the 488.2 driver.

Dont use this VISA driver for Windows 7. I will make WIndows 7 unbootable and will require Window reintallation
