how to download the driver for 8594E spectrum analyzer

i have installed the GPIB and haf connected the GPIB to my comp, but when i run Measurement and Automation Explorer to see of i could communicate wif the spectrum analyzer, it says the device did not respond to a *IDN? query. do i nit to install wad drivers or wad other things else? whr could i download the drivers... may i know the link to download the driver as i couldn't find it... thanks

You are getting that message because the instrument does not support the *IDN? query. The message is normal for old instruments and can be ignored. If you want to use MAX to communicate, use the "ID?" (no quotes) query. There is a LabVIEW driver for it here. You should have been able to find the driver yourself if you had gone to the Instrument Driver Network or used the Tools>Instrumentation>Find Instrument Drivers option in LabVIEW 8.x.
