Did you mean:

how to send the data in tcp/ip

Ok

lets start again.

I assumed that you did send information to your printer from LabVIEW. I have the feeling that is not true.

So now I assume that you did send the information to the printer in another way.

How did you send that information?

Now you have the same situation as before only with an ethernet connection between your computer and the printer. A kind of having a longer cable between the two systems. So to make sure that you don't change too much at the same time, you should find out what influence the inntermediate system has.

In short: what is the model and documentation of your printserver and does the printserver work for other printing jobs?

Just trying to set up communication with a system that probably does not talk back in MAX is completely different from what you try to build in the end.

I answered a few questions but probably I answered the wrong question.

Thanks for the info

I downloaded the printer server manual and saw what I was afraid of. You should print exactly as before you added this printerserver. It should be a transparent device that you should not see.

So my question again: How did you print before connecting this printer server?

Hi

I understand that you printed without the printserver, and that you used a parallell cable.

So what software did you use to print from windows, or did you use dos?

So you indeed printed by writing straight text to the printer bypassing the windows printer installation.

If you did setup you DP300U you should be able to print to the printername ia a windows prinetrdriver.

You should have slected a printerdriver that does not do very much (graphics etc I would propose a star fr10 or so)

and then select in windows this as the default printer.

see this last page of the dp300u installation

try to select in visa this port IP_192.168.0.10 just as you selected lpt1

maybe this works.

finish printer install

Hi

If you check the printerport, what connection does it mention?

Check properties of the printer.
