jorway 73A on win2k with labview 6.1

I'm running Win 2000 with an Adaptec AHA-2940 Ultra SCSI card and I'm trying to communicate with a Jorway 73A crate controller using Labview 6.1. I've downloaded the drivers and followed the instructions given by Fermilab, yet when I run the Crate Communications Test.vi I get a message which says "CRATE ADDRESS NOT SET PROPERLY, CHECK THAT CRATE ADDRESS SWITCHES ARE SET TO THE SAME ADDRESSES ON JWY 73A FRONT PANEL & LABVIEW PROGRAM.". Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Phil,
Have you tried contacting the manufacturers of that product? The error message displayed must have been generated by their vi. If the vi is not passworded, you might be able to dig into it and find out what step is going wrong. They also may be aware of some conflicts between the Adaptec SCSI card you have and their software. Thanks for posting here to Dev Zone. It is possible that someone out there has used your product and has already found a solution.

Thanks, Aaron.
I have contacted Jorway, but they haven't replied yet. The error message came from the Fermilab software, which is an executable VI, i.e. it requires LabView Runtime, i.e. it has no diagram to look at (see http://www-esd.fnal.gov/projects/fermitools/CAMAC_LabVIEW_Setup/CAMAC_LabVIEW_Setup.html for the link). Their software is written for the AHA2940 SCSI card.
Cheers, Phil.

Hi Phil,
Hopefully they will be able to get the software up and running for you. If you need to download the LabVIEW Runtime, you can get it from www.ni.com/downloads.

Have a good day!
