I am using LabVIEW 7.1 on a SUN running Solaris 10 to command RS232 instruments. We have two RS232 instruments connected to a ENET-232/2 with the SUN and ENET on an isolated network and connected through a switch. I have run visaconf to find and set up the ENET-232 and I see the two visa reference ids as ASRL0::ipaddress::port#::INSTR. When I run a simple command and read vi, I see the RX and TX lights flashing and the Port no. light come on the ENET-232. A successful command received by the instrument will cause the instrument to send back a > (greater than), However, I receive a timeout error (-1073807339) for the VISA Read and no evidence that the instrument has changed configuration or gone into remote mode.
Any ideas?
