measurement error while using osciloscope

Hey Friends,

I am  using Labview 8.2 and Tektronix TDS 5052 Oscilloscope for measuring the delay in fall times between channel 1 and channel 2.
I am able to see the waveform on screen but the error says "no waveform to meeasure". I have to use scaling of 10us which will give me the accurate value. Without scaling the measurement is incorrect. I would like to know why am i getting this error and also check for the channels which are connected to the "Read Waveform Measurement.vi" I have attached the vi and picture of the type of waveform which needs to be measured. Kindly look into the issue and reply back.

Thanks and Regards,
Sailesh

Hi Sailesh,

Unfortunately we do not have the same or similar scope that you have to be able to recreate your issue here.  Your best bet would be to contact Tektronix directly about this issue.

Hello Sailesh,

I see you are using the instrument driver for your scope.  You should step through the application so that you can see where the problem happens.  You can also try checking the Read Waveform VI for a string constant with the message you are seeing in your error indicator.  Once you find where the problem happens, you will probably need to compare the commands sent to the instrument with the manual.  Since this driver is labeled 7k it makes me think that it is for the 7xxx series of scopes, but happens to work with the 5052.

Let us know what you find out.

Hello Steven,

Thanks for your response on the query. I was able to figure it out using Read Waveform.vi.

Sailesh
