I am running Metcal 8.51 on a windows 7 32 bit machine. When using the LAN to calibrate a AT DSO91304A I am getting a random visa connection lost error. This ends my program. I do not see this error if I am using the GPIB buss. I am able to run the same program on another machine just fine. I do not think that it is LAN hardware, I swapped as much as I could with no improvements.
I am beginning to think that if is a VISA disconnect timing error between the PC and NI VISA. Any ideas?

Talk to the Metcal people.

Thanks, I tried that and so far not much help. However I have not given up on that path. I thought that I would try more than one as I need to get my system up and running.

And how are you physically connecting? Is this to a dedicated nic card or company network? Fixed IP or DHCP? If you are not using a dedicated nic and a fixed IP, it's could be your company network that is the problem.

I am routing through a company LAN using a fixed IP using the motherboard LAN connection. I had a address assigned to the station that is not for general use.
