Hello!
I am using test equipment by EG&G chromatic dispersion unit CD 300. Unfortunately my computer was crashed and fresh windows is installed.
Now I reinstall all programs and software relevant for this test equipment but I am unsuccessful.Refer to documents from EG &G it mentioned following statement :
"When running from Windows the two files used to control the card are GPIB.INI, a text file with the board configuration, and GPIB.DLL, the control software. These are supplied on the CD300 program disk as well as in the software supplied by National Instruments. The file GPIB.INI has been modified by EG&G to correctly control the system. There is no need to load the software supplied on the National Instruments disks, in fact doing so would over write the above files already installed, losing the setup information. If this did occur simply reinstall the CD300 software again as explained in chapter XX"
Important finding regarding my test equipment is that it accepts only certain values which are follows :
- Port Address : 02E1
- IRQ : 7
-DMA : 1
How can I modify my GPIB.INI so that my card initiates and works well. Attach is the original files which need to be modify for my hardware to described configuration ?
Is GPIB.dll will be same for my test equipment ?

Hi,
To change GPIB.INI, you should be able to open (in notepad) and change it to the setting you need it to be. I don't know if GPIB.DLL provided by NI will be the same as the one supplied by EG&G. You will have to try it out if you don't have EG&G's software CD.
