Actually, I have a very weak background in electronics but acceptable background with software. I am chemist as I told above.

For the moment I have different motors, so the strength of the motor is not a big issue. But my real problem is to find the driver and the controller that can be used with labview and also should be cheap enough.

I found an arduino microcontroller in my lab. Do you hink it will be useful for my case.

You cannot drive the motor with the Arduino any more than you can from the DAQ device. You need a power device.

NI-Motion is made to work with NI motor controllers. You won't be able to use this directly with any third-party motor controllers. It's possible that someone could have written drivers to communicate with a third-party controller from LabVIEW, but that wouldn't be able to use any built-in LabVIEW motion capabilities. If you'd like to interface with LabVIEW, I suggest you purchase your motor controller from NI. Other parts of your motion system, like your motor drive and motors, can still be third-party.
