Thank you everyone. I contacted R & S and after a lengthy discussion and trying many things, the problem came from the firmware on the actual sensor was too old. We had borrowed this sensor, and came to find out the firmware was from 2004. They said that all the software and drivers written needed new firmware on the device. So after updating the firmware, everything worked fine.
