pc to mac conection

I am using a Mac to communicate with a PC.
The PC is connected to the Mac with the serial port COM1. But the mac, having just usb ports, uses an adaptator usb to serial.
I don't know what is the port address of this so called serial port. And the system is staying silent during the vI running.
what's the problem ?

Hello-

There is a great Knowledge Base (KB) on our website with information regardign communicating with a USB-Serial adapter through LabVIEW on a Macintosh. If you go to our home page (www.ni.com) and search for "USB-to-Serial Adapter Labview Macintosh" you will see that the KB is the first result found.
