Hi, I am a graduate student in Korea.
I am trying to connect the power supply (Agilent E3632A) to PC with GPIB interface.
And I wanna control it with Python (pyvisa library).
NI MAX reports the following error:
"This GPIB device is not a genuine NI product and is not supported by the installed NI-488.2 software. (Error Code: -37056)"
I have already reinstalled the latest NI-488.2 driver (version 2025 Q1), but the issue persists.
Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
I can check the address of the power supply, but I cannot program desired voltage with the command .write

Please read the reply in the post - https://forums.ni.com/t5/Instrument-Control-GPIB-Serial/Message-quot-This-GPIB-device-is-not-a-genui...
Do you have proof that your USB-GPIB is genuine? if yes, NI may help in un-bricking it.

Yes, my GPIB is genuine.
I just registered my product via online. But it takes one more day.
Is it true?
If accepted, can I use it with no error code?

There are many counterfeit GPIB-USB-HS products that are difficult to distinguish by appearance alone.
If you purchased your GPIB-USB-HS from a cheap online store rather than from an authorized dealer, it is most likely a counterfeit.
If you purchased it from an authorized dealer or a reliable dealer, please contact them.
Or contact NI support, attaching the purchase receipt from such a dealer.
It seems that in very rare cases, a malfunction in a genuine product can cause the driver to identify it as a counterfeit.
