"Fill Log" Sweep with Agilent E4980A

Hi,

  I have looked through the drivers provided from NI and I also downloaded the drivers for the Agilent E4980A to see if there is any commands that I could use to control the "Fill Log" feature when sweeping functions, particularily frequencies and measuring impedance. I wanted to know if anyone knows this command that can be used in Labview to control this. Thanks.

Hello Jason,

     If the command is not in the LabVIEW Plug and Play instrument driver, you can add a VI to the driver that correctly sends the command.  A vital resource for such an endevour is the users manual for your instrument.  It will explain how the command should be sent and the format of the response.  Once you have created your masterpiece, I invite you to share it with the community.  The Instrument Driver team might even add it to the driver.
