Thank you. This thread has been quiet for so long that I had forgotten all about it. It seems that you have solved my problem. Of course every one but me is at a convention this week and they took all of the oscilloscopes with them - we are a very small company. But I promise as soon as I get my hands on an oscilloscope, I will try out your code. I've got to admit that device drivers seem to be documented, if at all, by people that assume I am a genius and therefore are almost useless to me. Tektronix and National Instruments have been very helpful to me but it does get frustrating some times.
Do you still have the code for this? *fingers crossed*

You are the one with that scope. All of the commands will be in your manual. What happens when you try the code?

That's like saying I could write a best seller, all the words I need are in the dictionary. Of course I RTFM. My supervisor and I also phoned up Tektronix and had long useless dialog with them. Finally, we ran out of time and the user had to settle for us leaving files in the scopes storage. They were fine with that.
