serial port not found in Measurement and Automation

I working in an app where i read from a usb scanner through a virtual serial port at first works just fine but lately the serial port isn't recognize by labview, I checked the port in the device manager and seems Ok  I also checked MAX and doesn't recognized as well, so I figure is something wrong with NI software, I'm using Labview 8.6 with NI-Visa 5.02 in Windows Vista 32-bit.

Hope you can help me with this issue, also I attach a screenshot of the device manager and MAX. Thanks in Advance.

Have you done anything to try to fix the problem? Steps you could take would be uninstalling/installing VISA, unistalling/installing the USB driver.

The problem is with MAX and VISA, not LabVIEW. LabVIEW can only recognize ports that are listed in MAX.

yeah I reinstall USB serial port driver from the manufacturer site, Also NI-VISA, not only that I updated, having at first  visa 4.6, although I haven't reinstall MAX, but MAX only shows the ports that NI-Visa recognize or I'm wrong?

MAX got updated with the new VISA.

Not sure what else you can try. Perhaps deleting all of the aliases in MAX and doing a refresh will help. I'd also try a different USB port on the pc.
