Hello Irshu,

       I highly recommend that you use LabVIEW for your school project.  If you are not familiar with LabVIEW there are some free online training materials for you.

        LabVIEW already has TCP/IP functions for you to use, but you will probably need to become familiar with what information needs to be sent via TCP/IP.

       It is important to plan out and design your system before you start the actual development.  A nice way of specifying the application components is to design the tests for each component and then develop the component with those tests in mind.  There is are some good software engineering materials that focus on LabVIEW that you should look at.

Interesting assignment. Since you do not need to use actual hardware, I have no idea why you posted to this board. Have you decided what programming language you are going to use? If you have no programming experience, LabVIEW would be a good choice since I think you could get up to speed faster than another language. What sort of specific help do you need?
