Did you mean:

tunics Plus .llb drivers

Hello

I have problems  to install manually the .llb provided by the Tunable Laser Source: Anritsu Tunics Plus. It seems that the library hasnt been recognised  and the icons do not appear to start creating a VI. Is there any standard procedure to do that ?

Labview 8.5 version

Tunics Plus CL   (Model : 3642HECL

Thanks,

Rafael

Not sure at all what you mean? Are you talking about the functions appearing on the Instrument Driver palette? I don't know where you got the driver from (and that would be nice information to have) but if you create a subfolder in the instr.lib folder and place the driver there, everything should appear on the palette when you start LabVIEW.

After a couple of restarts it worked but I have another problem. The .llb provided by Tunics is for Labview v.5.0 and I have Labview 8.6 .Unfortunately, there is no backward compatibility between 5.0 and 8.6. Do you know a way to upgrade my files to be usable in v8.6 ?

Thanks a lot.

The old thread for this very common request was getting pretty long so post them here.

 Hi,

I have already received the upgraded drivers using the link you,ve posted on this thread. However, when I build a chain with Tunics components in the block diagram and I run it ,  a visa error code appears . Any Block diagram does not work.

The description is:

Error -1073807202 occured at Old visa Open in TUNICS Initialize.vi ->TunicsBasicSetting.vi

An screenshot is attached with the complete error description.

Any idea of what can I do ?

Thanks a lot,

Rafael

Hi,

2 things, in the TunicsInitialize you can replace this old visa open by visa open and perhaps you descriptor string not good yhink should be GPIB0::10::INSTR.
