update old instrument driver

I have a set of LabVIEW instrument drivers for a AWG-610(Tektronix)that I am unable to open do to the fact that the the drivers were written in version 3.1 (I have version 6.1). How can I upgrade these w/out writing a new set? The AWG-610 zip file can be found @ the Tektronix web site.
Thanks for the help!

Erik,

National Instruments has a free conversion kit for converting vi's from pre-LabVIEW 4 to post-LabVIEW 4. You can find more information on this kit here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/6f80a168949d5799862569310076f14b?OpenDocument

The kit is not available for download anymore. If you absolutely need it you can contact NI Tech Support directly. Are you trying to use the drivers for the AWG 610? The driver page on IDNET points to the Tektronix web site. Have you checked the Tektronix web site to see if they have updated drivers?

Yea, I got the drivers from Tek.  The AWG610 is an older modle so they do not support it anymore.

Is there anyway to view an older version of a VI without actually using it.  All i want is to see what the examples look like then i can probably create my own from them.

There used to be a LabVIEW viewer, but that's not available anymore either. Tech Support probably still has a copy around. In the end, writing your own instrument driver isn't that hard. LabVIEW can get you started with a template, and you can use the I/O Assistant to test out the commands. There are also examples that ship with LabVIEW, and there's tons of up to date instrument drivers available for download that you can use as a guide. Just look for the one that's similar to your scope, and be sure to get the ones that are "project based". There's also this article: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3511
