vifinrsc doesn't return description

Hello,

we are having troubles with the viFindrsrc function. We are using vb.net 2010 and visa32.dll version 4.6
When we execute the command we can see the right answer in NI Spy but the dll doesn't return the description (e.g. GPIB0::20::INSTR). We are calling GPIB?*INSTR.

When we look at the desciption it says that the description is a ByVal -call - shouldn't this be a ByRef call?

Any Ideas?

Problem solved: The visa32.dll needs a StringBuilder class not just simply a String! - Probarbly the documentation is wrong or I need to declare it different?!
I peronally think this point is a mess. The call should be ByRef and simply be a String...
