what is happening in rs232

i want to measure hall voltage with respective to the change in the magetic field. I am using HBM MGCplus ML01 DAQ which has RS232 interface to my laptop... How can i calibrate my measurements? Can anyone explain how datas are transferred?

If that is the case, it has nothing to do with this message board which is about instrument control not instrument calibration.

Try to do some engineering yourself first.

In general, information about calibration is gotten from the vendor of the instrument. It is unclear from your post whether you really need to calibrate it or you simply do not know how to do an acquisition.
