Presenter: David Staab and Daklu
Est. Duration: 1 hour
Description:
NI's Actor Framework (AF) is a powerful tool for managing concurrent processes, but it requires a principled approach to design and implementation. Approaching AF with a Queued Message Handler mindset quickly leads to system failure! Learn the right approach to Actor-Oriented Programming: what defines an actor in LabVIEW, how to develop AF applications quickly, how to simulate and test AF components, and how to deploy binaires successfully on the first try. All are welcome, but we assume you are comfortable with LVOOP and have attended or read an AF introduction.
If you absolutely cannot make it to NI for the meeting, we'll scream and point fingers at the conference line phone, but forgive you in the end.
You will be able to participate in the meeting remotely, including viewing presentations live & joining a conference line.
