Optimizing LabVIEW FPGA: Going From 1000% to 90% Utilization of cRIO/sbRIO

Faced with a custom high-speed, highly synchronized, mixed digital and analog I/O system, the logical solution is an FPGA. RT solutions were simply not fast enough. Compiling a partial RT solution into the FPGA gave a utilization of over 1000%. Optimization brought this down to under 90%, sped things up dramatically, and allowed new functionality to be added relatively simply. It even compiled at 120MHz. How did I do it? Come find out!
