What method do people use to Display and Acknowledg​e alarms in DSC Module?

I'm looking to build a page on my User Interface where the user can view and acknowledge alarms from shared variables, configured using the DSC module.

I'm curious to see if anyone uses the built in "Alarm and Event Display" activeX control, or if they build their own GUIs.

We use the ActiveX control vs our own UI about 90/10 - the built in one is quite capable, and usually meets our (and our customers') needs.
