Flicker measurement using Electrical Power Suite

May I know where can I find the example? Can you show me the directory as i cant find it from the example.

Usually I am using DAQ assistant for measurement. Thus, I am new using DAQmx, can you explain more from the previous reply. Thank you.

Other than that, I am not clear about the resampling idea. I saw the resampling and buffer icon in the picture u attached.

Can you give some example as I find one white paper on the resampling from the NI website.

Finally, the doc attachment file shown, consists of 2 question related to my VI that I have made change yesterday.

Can anyone help me on this.

Small question here. I am using Labview 2011 version 9 ... May I know where can I find the resampling and buffer icon?

Is it inside the electrical power suite there?

Hope for guidance.

1. Only the latest Electrical Power Suite (version 2013) that supports power quality analysis (including flicker measurement) on DAQ platform. Version 2011 only supports measurement on cRIO platform.

2. To find the examples,
    a. You can find the examples provided by EPS at the following similar path:

        C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 20**\examples\Electrical Power\Power Quality
    b. Or you can search the example using NI Example Finder provided by LabVIEW: Help -> Find Examples...

3. To know more about resampling and flicker measurement, please refer to the document lveptconcepts.chm, it should be under the following similar file path:
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 20**\help\lveptconcepts.chm

You may need to customize the file path according to your LabVIEW installation path.

Is there anyway I can do this flicker measurement with cDAQ using Labview 2011.

IN my case, I been using NI 9225 in cDAQ and the VI files attached earlier for the measurement..

Is there any alternative way that might be helpful?

Really apprecite for the help. Thank you.

Electrical Power Suite version 2011 only target the cRIO platform for power quality measurement and cannot be applied to DAQ platform.

However you can try the evaluation version of EPS 2013:

You may also need to install the labview 2013 evaluation version at:

Can you send me the screenshot for the following example: (in any image format)

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 20**\examples\Electrical Power\Power Quality

Maybe I can have a look on it while I downloading the installation files from the provided link.

Another thing is will there be any problem or clashes when i install Labview 2013 into a PC which already installed with Labview 2011?

Sorry to ask you about this. Since I not familiar with  this software installation stuff.

Thank you.

1. EPS 2013 provides a series of example VIs that show and help users to implement power quality analysis functions(including flicker measurement) both on cRIO and DAQ platform. And you can find the example project under the file path provided previously, after EPS 2013 is installed.

2. It's OK to have two different viersion of labview installed on a single PC.
