There is a TCP/IP example in your "Getting Started with.. EZ-Kit BF537". If you go to page 2-1, there is an example on writing a TCP application using Visual DSP. Note that you can use TCP function calls and develop your own program in LabVIEW.
I believe the USB port for the BF 537 is used for debugging purposes. It is a dedicated USB connection between your PC and the EZ-KIT.
As for serial, take a look at the Serial Compatibility VIs located on the Instrument Control
palette. Note that when accessing the serial port programically, you must
uncheck the "Redirect stdout to serial port" box in the advanced tab of
the Build Options dialog.
