I am testing the Microprocessor SDK of Labview 2009. The windows console target requires visual studio 2003. As I can download only the 2008 Express edition or the visual studio 2008 90 day trial I tried both without success. What do I have to adapt to make it working? Will the Express edition work at all?
Has somebody tried another compiler than the microsoft for the windows console target?
The Unix console and UI targets work great using the gcc in cygwin.

Hi Steffen,
sorry for the late reply.
Currently we only support Visual Studio 2003 / VC++ 6.0 for creating a Windows Console Application.
(It's planned to support Visual Studio 2008 for 2010. Note: You need the full version of VS.)
Instead of a Windows Console Application you can create a UNIX Console application with Cygwin/gcc.
The follwing tutorial contains a detailed description:

Dear Ralf,
thank you very much for your response. I did the Unix console example right at the beginning. This is really a good starting point.
