LabVIEW FPGA ... limited only by Windows 10 !!!

Status: New

Hello,

Recently, Last year, i've had a bad experience, when i tried to compile my old FPGA applications with Windows 10.

=> The FPGA ISE XILINX compiler is no more compatible with Windows 10.

Will something be done ? I got no clear answer from NI support ...It should be a XILINX problem !

The issue is that some products on the NI web site, are sold without clear information about the incompatibility with Win 10 !

Please, add a "clear highlighted Warning" on the product page in order to inform about the problem : On FPGA boards and on CRIO targets ...

Thanks for help.

I am not sure what they can do at this point  These older versions of LabVIEW. LabVIEW FPGA 2018 does compile with Windows 10.

Hello Terry,

I am currently working with LabVIEW 2018 on WIN10 and WIN7.

On WIN7, there is no problem ... on WIN10, i have to compile using the compile farm of my WIN7

The only ways to compile "Older FPGA Targets" are .

..

=> Use the cloud compile farm : Not always available when working behind a company network

=> Using a local compil farm on a second computer running under WIN7

What i would like to have is a "Warning Banner" on the RIO products in order to Highlight the uncompatibility issue.

Manu.

I agree that a warning on the download page should be issued. Maybe even on the installer. This is coming up more often especially since more and more people are using windows 10.
