Ability to Group Decorations on the Block Diagram

Status: New

I would like to be able to group decorations on the block diagram. In the attached simple example, I have to keep up with nine items - always selecting the entire area to move it.

The current work-around for this is to place the items in a structure, such as a single frame sequence.

Anything to make graphics on the disagram or front panel more usable is always a Kudos moment.  Thanks.

Good illustration, check out a very similar Idea, and my first comment about a concern how this could be abused: Grouping blockdiagram objects

Jack,

I agree with your concerns, which is why my idea is specific to decorations. The only issue I can see with grouping decorations is with programmatically controlling decorations that are grouped, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.

Good idea.

It would be most useful to be able to group BD elements with comments.

I presume that when you Exclude BD elements from BD cleanup (if you use this feature-not very useful for complicated BD's) there is some internal grouping of BD elements done anyway.
