Add ActiveX (ocx) - Controller Builder

LeCroy oscilloscopes do have a decicated area of the user interface for customization. The custom space can be used by an ocx-ActiveDSO PlugIn that is registred on the instrument.

This kind of ActiveX-Control can do far only be built by some VC and VB compilers.

It would be very nice to build now such a CustomDSO PlugIn for a LeCroy oscilloscope by LabVIEW.

Hello Tameq,

The ActiveDSO control is an ActiveX control and you can use it from LabVIEW with the native ActiveX property and method primitives.  (Although there is no reason to do so as there is already a LabVIEW driver available that has examples etc. built into it that will do the same things).  If there is some specific item in the ActiveDSO control that you do not see in the LabVIEW driver, you may suggest to TeledyenLeCroy to add the feature.

Hello Leonard,

I am a user of ActiveDSO for remote controlling LeCroy scopes. However, in order to create a CustomDSO PlugIn the environments needs to be able to create an ActiveX-Control. So far VB and VC can do it, but this feature is missing within LabVIEW. Yo umay build an application, but it is no possible to select Build an ActiveX-Control with the outcome of a compiled ocx-file. NI TechSupport in Switzerland told me so after I could not find the Build ActiveX-Control, neither in LabVIEW nor in CVI.

As an ex-LeCroyee I am now a distributor of LeCroy standard product line in Switzerland and I would like to make use of my LabVIEW knowledge to integrate LabVIEW programs into the CustomDSO PlugIn. CustomDSO PlugIn is nuch a great feature and this would leverage it to anothr level.
