It is already has VI reference in properties...just have a permanent connector for it and same for error -> Overall, I do not think we are on the same page with you here 😞
I'd vote for the second part. Anything that is general and recommended programming practice should be made easier to handle. Having to worry about one less thing is good. By default, the in and out error clusters should be connected and present on ANY VI's diagram. I would even go as far as offering, as in Express VIs, the ability to "show" or "hide" the error cluster connectors (as in GriffinRU's mock up icon).
