Would a VI targeted underneath one of these other options in the project explorer be able to run in an emulated version of the OS if you aren't connected? It seems like your idea is to add to the list of targets you can add to the project to include other OS computers. Almost like the My Computer entry but it would be OS specific. That would be neat especially if a VI targeted underneath it automatically changed its available VIs based on what's supported on that OS so you could deploy the VI from there with no issues.
