Case structure with tabs

Status: New

My 2 cents: would be nice to have optional tabs on the case structure similar to what we have in modern browsers like chrome. If dont have gazillion cases then this would be a very comfortable way to switch between cases. Arrows at the side shift the cases. The active case is color coded and slightly overlapping the surrounding cases.

Warning: MS paint artwork below! 🙂

Like this idea but would consider putting the tabs at the bottom like excel Smiley Happy

I like your idea....for a couple (less than 4) cases.

But it gets close to unusable if there are more cases or cases have long names.

Granted, the drop-down list is not a perfect solution, but it is one of the most scalable ones.

I would grant a kudo for an idea "change the drop-down list to a, expandable/collapsable drop-down tree".

I can easily manage 20+ tabs with chrome so its not becoming unusable just because we have more than n cases. I agree though that long names become a limitation. I imagine this as an option what you can turn on or off.

The vast majority of the case structures has less than 5 cases so I would say it would be usable for most of the structures.
