Clearer LabVIEW app icons with versions

Change the current LabVIEW app version icons used with one clearer. Included in attachement versions 2009 to 2017 (just in case ni wants to use it in the new version 🙂

Also included the photoshop used to create them. Personnaly I not only find them clearer but also prettier!

Your modification seems to only change the icon of the actual shortcut, correct?  I don't have a problem with shortcuts because I can see the year description of a shortcut on my desktop.  (I make sure the superfluous "Shortcut to " is deleted.)

What I want to have is that the tiny version of the icon that shows up on the taskbar for each and every open LabVIEW windows to show a clearer version number than the 3 pixel height it is now.

Do you know a way to do that?

What OS do ou use?

Are you talking about the little icon in the following snapshot? If yes don't know if it can be changed and I didn't even notice it before you talked about it as all windows are grouped on the same taskbar version. If not what you are talking about, a screenshot would probably make things clearer.

Win 7.  I do have the taskbar set up for "small icons" so that I have a little more screen real estate when my laptop is off the dock and I'm using its built-in screen.  Here I have LV 2016 open just to its splash screen.  And LV 2014 open with numerous VI that there are enough that it grouped them.taskbar.png

I can't tell which is which from the icons.

Can be done with ressource Hacker, tried it without problems. You can even modify all the icons used by LabVIEW.

BTW at this size you are probably better making your own icons with just numbers on them. The ones I created work well for big icons, but no so well for the smaller ones, altough much better than the standard ones.

I use the ones featured here. (From this idea)  They work well with the small icon.  I haven't kept up with LV versions, so I don't know if the icons go above 2013.
