Not a bad idea. Then you can double-click on the #2 under references, and it takes you to the reference (just like a search would).

Absolutely.

 

I was convinced I had posted a similar but more far-reaching idea before (or atleast had commented on a similar idea before) including the entire VI hierarchy in the tree, Vi, Pane, Controls and so on.  Clicking on them should then also show the properties like in Visual Studio. Yeah, yeah I know that the comparison isn't really good but they do a LOT right with their IDE.

I'm certain this is a duplicate of other ideas that ask for the "Visual Studio property view", but I'll upvote it just to help make the point that we desperately need a modern interface for editing LV UIs!

I've always wanted something much more advanced than this - a complete docked window with all properties listed for all controls/terminals, including position etc., so that they can be easily viewed/edited within. Kudo'd!
