Create SubVI with VI Template

If you identify some part of the Toplevel VI can be reused and you want to create subVI out of it, you will use the select the code and go to Menu bar Edit--> Create subVI.

Current behavior :

                  1) The connector pane is based on the no of wires required for input and output.

                  2) The SubVI does not have Error case.

New Idea:

             The connector pane should be fixed 4x2x2x4

              The code should contain Error in and error out with Error structure as shown below

Basically a duplicate of this idea, which is already in beta...

The Idea is not only about the connector pane, but Also about the SubVI's code with Error structure. It helps in handling Errors in SubVIs.

The bit about creating the error structure was already discussed and rejected as part of this feature. There are too many cases where such error structures would be undesirable to make that generally part of the system. However, we did provide a way for users to plug in custom scripting code if you want to have that behavior, and a plug in to specifically add the error handling will be posted to the NI forums soon after the release of LV 2011.
