Expand shortcut menu for "Display format"

It would be helpful if developper didn't have to open "Properties" window to select one of basic display formats. 

It could look like here:

Pretty rarely used menu for most users. Doesn't really seem worthy of promotion.

None of these formats are "basic", they all require additional parameters, such as number of digits, etc.

In addition, LabVIEW 2012 allows you to select several controls, indicators, diagram constant at once and change the properties (such as the formating) for all of them in one step. Seems easy enough now! 🙂

To Aristos Q: speaking for yourself, as I almost always change the default settings of my indicators and controls.

I would agree with Knight Altenbach, though, and if I may add: why is the damn property window taking forever to open up!!!

For those interested in this idea, I made a QuickDrop plugin to handle this use case.  You just need to know the format strings.
