Find on the Palette added in the Block Diagram right-click menu

Hi all,

I have been using the Labview help a lot, and especilly the feature "Find on the palette",

Then, I was sure the same feature exists on Labview Block Diagram, but it seems not (or precisely not exactly the same)...

meaning, you have a function existing on your block diagram (like below on the picture with the I/O Node)

and you need to add many more functions that you know they are very close to the function you used on the Functions Palette,

So you do a right click and you have an instant view of the Functions palette dedicated to the previously used functions,

But, this windows will blow away, because it is not linked to the behaviour of the Functions palette directly.

And so, you will have to do again and again the procedure to add all the Functions you desired.

Problem of publishing... sorry, modified 5 times

here is the end of the post :

So the main idea is to add the "Find on the Palette" in the Block Diagram right-click menu directly (picture 3)

Then, it will make the Functions Palette going directly to the desired functions, like this: (picture 4)

Looking back to my lecture with Labview beginner,

they always complained on the fact there is so much functions inside the Functions palette,

that they spend a lot of time in seeking the functions they have seen once in the Functions Palette.

So may be adding "Find on the palette" feature on the Block Diagram right-click menu is a simple answer such problem

Thanks in advance

Adding another menu option is not such a good idea. Instead, the palette already has a pin icon on the top left which keeps it open, but this doesn't appear when you use the context menu. If you want it to, there's already an idea for this - http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Option-to-pin-the-pallette-opened-thro-short-cut-menu/...
