i like the idea, however i would rather labview start searching without my permission but provide a cancel button in case i don't want it to perform the search. if it finds the file at a different location, it should pop indicate that in a way consistent with other dialogs already in place.
The bigger problem is that this dialog also pops up when it does find the file but has some other issue, like trying to load an incompatible/incomplete DLL. Now that is really annoying!
