The LabVIEW compiler currently appears to use one core of a multi-core processor. It would be nice if it fully utilized multiple cores to speed building of large projects, and recompilation of VIs when editing/opening source code.
Since this idea is still "completed" going on 4 years after NXG was cancelled, can NI take a look at this? The excuse in 2010 was that the code was 30 years old and hard to maintain, now it is 14 years older and 14 years further behind competing languages that have been multi core for decades.
This can probably now be closed as a duplicate since the original idea has been reopened. This is a very painful limitation of LabVIEW and makes me worried about the technical debt that NXG was supposed to help fix.
