Option to browse for class in Change Inheritance Window

Status: Declined

When setting the inheritance of a class, you're only able to select classes that are currently loaded into memory:

If you're not working within a project (which I do commonly to keep things zippy), chances are the class you're looking for isn't loaded.  It'd be great if there was a browse button on this UI.

(The workaround is to open the class you want to inherit, but that class can't be opened simultaneously because of the modality of this UI and that it'd need to refresh, so you need to close out of this window and the class properties window and then reopen both.)

I am going to decline this idea, even though it could be useful. You are working outside of a project, and I understand why. But for LVOOP features, we do not really consider the "not in a project" use case a supported use case: there's so many operations that aren't really achievable without a project. We have worked diligently to make that a less painful experience, and LV 2020 made major strides in decreasing load time and improving IDE responsiveness of large projects. Adding support for this would help some people, but I do not think it is a good use of my team's time compared to other projects.
