It'd be very nice if QD worked when a library or lvclass is opened 'solo' outside a project.

Yes!

And also when two projects with the same name are open. For instance, when comparing two revisions. QD shows two options for each VI, but both fail when dropping or replacing.

Oh, I didn't know that. Though I haven't done that many times. Though I did notice a bug the other day, if you do a Find and step through vi's with Ctrl+G, quick drop can't replace it. You need to select it manually first.
