I recently saw an example by an NI employee of how you can design a task bar in your VI by using splitter bars - and were puzzled to see that she used two splitter bars with a System Chiseled Line in between set to scale with the panel. Why not just use a single splitter bar and set it to a width of 4 pixels?
Well - the reason of course is that LabVIEW splitter bars do not really appear the way such splits look in other applications. To get a more standard look you have to apply this trick.
In most use cases a splitter bar that, instead of todays design, looked like a system line, and which could alternatively be made invisible, would be a welcome solution.
