when I program using queues, I prefer to set a sensible timeout period on the dequeue VI
however, when I run the highlight execution tool, suddenly the timeout periods need to be set a lot longer to compensate for the slower execution....in fact I get lots of spurious timeouts, caused by the debugging process
it would be great if there was an option to suspend timeout, or make the timeout period X times longer, when execution is highlighted
even a VI to detect that execution has been highlighted would help solve the problem
this would be useful for other communication mechanisms as well, notifiers etc.......
