string control scrollbars need to behave

That must have been mentioned a million times, but I have now decided that I have taken enough abuse!

Please, pretty please, let LV understand that when you click on a string scrollbar (control, indicator or constant), you do not want to drag the string (you would click ANYWHERE ELSE but on the scrollbar). Guess why? That's because you want to move the scrollbar. No TAB pressing to switch tool, thanks. I can't even notice that the arrow style has changed. What other software has a DIFFERENT tool to handle scrollbars, anyway?

Please disregard... I realized that using "Lock automatic tools selection" does make the cursor select the scrollbar when hovering over it. My bad. I probably should have posted that on the general LV forum.

No, don't disregard!  If the string is already selected, then clicking the scrollbar moves the string rather than scrolling the text - very annoying to deselect the string, and then scroll.

I noticed that too, but I thought this was the intended behavior... Once you have selected an object, you need to click somewhere else to deselect it. If you intended to select the scrollbar, you need to aim high... I mean right. If you  can't, well, practice makes perfect, as they say. Plus you still can TAB switch to the scrollbar selection tool Smiley Tongue
