Arduino LED Cube

Did anyone tried making a LED cube using Arduino interfaced with LabVIEW ?

I once used LIFA to control a 48 x 32 x2 (Red + Green) LED Matrix using SPI.  I Used the Xbox Kinect with LV Vision Assistant to get the users's silhouette and draw it on the LED Matrix. I'll see if I can dig up the video.
