Displaying Arduino serial data using LabVIEW

I am using Arduino to demonstrate PID DC motor control and would like to use LabVIEW to display the inputs and outputs in real time. I am confused about the capabilities of LIFA based on reading the discussions here and am wondering if it is right for my needs. I ONLY want to use LabVIEW for displaying some values on a graph in real time, but I want to use the sketch that is programmed in the Arduino IDE. It seems like in all of the examples here, I actually have to program the entire sketch in LabVIEW. Does anybody have an example that shows how this can be done (showing both the Arduino sketch and the LabVIEW VI)?

LIFA basically makes the Arduino an inexpensive data acquisition board.

If you already have the PID written and working in Arduino and just want to use LabVIEW as a serial monitor then you could make a serial monitor with LabVIEW (not related to LIFA) so that you can graph your variables.  You would simply have your Arduino program put out the values via serial and then read them in with LabVIEW serial functions.  I don't know the specifics but I'm sure you can find information on how to do something like this.
