Measure highest pixel converted in threshold image

This is for my project, it has to measure highest pixel and move the motor to release more gas for the flame if needed. 

I have already made two cases which are working well.

I justt need to work out the maximum height in converted threshold image so it can be displayed in the front panel, rather than having the sum of the black pixels in the image.
